Medicare
Advantage, Supplement and Part D. Which one you can join depends on when you turn 65, whether you are still working, and where you live.
Licensed insurance agency
Healthbase helps you choose between Medicare, Marketplace, and dental, vision and hearing plans. We are licensed, we are paid by the carriers, and we will say when a free government option is the better route.
No cost to you. We never ask for a Social Security number or bank details by phone.Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm ET.
Each one has its own rules, its own enrollment windows, and its own traps. Start with whichever describes you.

ACA plans for people without employer cover. Subsidies depend on household size and income, and the window to enrol is short.
Usually bought separately, and usually where the surprises are. Waiting periods and annual maximums matter more than the monthly figure.
These services are free, independent, and will show you every plan in your area — including plans we cannot sell. If your situation is simple, they may be all you need.
We list these because the alternative is you finding out later. If you call us and a free route fits better, that is what we will tell you.
1
Age, ZIP, whether you have employer cover, and any doctor or prescription you will not give up.
2
The same licensed agent handles your case start to finish. You get their name and their licence number.
3
The plans we can offer, side by side, plus what we cannot see and where to look for it.
4
There is no follow-up campaign if you walk away. Enrolment happens on the carrier’s own system, not ours.
How we're paid
We earn a commission from the insurer when you enrol, and nothing from you. It does not change your premium. It does mean our shelf is limited to the carriers we are appointed with, and it means an incentive exists that you should know about rather than guess at.
Enrollment
Initial, General, Open and Special. Missing yours usually means waiting a year, sometimes with a penalty attached.
Costs
Age band, ZIP code, tobacco use, household size and the metal tier. None of them are things an agent can negotiate.
Switching
Check the network before you cancel, not after. Here is the order of operations that avoids a gap in cover.
No. The insurer pays us a commission when you enrol, and your premium is the same whether you come through us, another agent, or the carrier directly.
No, and no agent can. We can only quote carriers we are appointed with. For the complete list where you live, use the Medicare.gov Plan Finder or HealthCare.gov, both free.
Only if you tick the optional SMS and marketing box, or you ask us to call. Requesting a quote does not sign you up for anything, and the phone field on our form is optional.
One agent handles your case from the first call. We'll walk your options and tell you plainly what we can and cannot see.
No obligation. We'll tell you if a free option through Medicare.gov or HealthCare.gov suits you better. Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm ET.
